Working Successfully with Same Sex Couples
We will be viewing a portion of: Working Successfully with Same Sex Couples. This DVD demonstrates in two live sessions with Dr. Sue Johnson how the power of EFT's attachment frame and interventions are equally relevant for gay and heterosexual couples. This video includes voice over commentary and a panel discussion with three EFT therapists about responding to the unique challenges faced by same sex couples. In our discussion we will focus on the attachment issues unique to LGBT populations including internalized homophobia, coming out, and sexuality.

Discussant and Facilitator: Benjamin Seaman, LCSW-R

is a certified EFT couple therapist with training in AEDP, relational psychoanalysis and NLP. Mr. Seaman has a wide range of clinical experience ranging from crisis intervention, community mental health, college counseling and executive coaching. He is a member of the Mankind Project, an organization dedicated to Emotional Literacy for Men, and is Director of the Rowe Labor Day Gay Men's Retreat. Mr. Seaman regularly presents workshops around the country on relationships and creativity and can be heard on WRPI's Quest for Life radio show.

This program has been approved for Continuing Education Credit Hours by the National Association of Social Workers, CT and meets the continuing education criteria for CT Social Work Licensure renewal.
